Spring time weddings

Since my last blog I have got to be part of 2 sweet weddings.
In early May Kendra and Sam joined each other in marriage.
They were playful and sweet with each other. My good friend Candie had been a family friend of the brides.  Candie and her 2 daughters tackled the cake and the flowers. They are all so talented their cakes are not just beautiful to look at but they are scrumptious too.

Trip to Texas

Just noticed that I never posted this!!! So Sorry

Rick and I got to go to Texas to visit family. I was really hoping to get a reprieve from the Alaskan winter, but unfortunately that was not to be. We didn't have snow on the ground, but I still had to wear my coat most days.
We had a mini reunion, 61 members from both sides of our families showed up. Laughing, eating and reminiscing. One day is not enough to catch up with everyone, it went way too fast.
My brother and his wife drove down from Kansas, they got stranded 2 days when they were headed back from the blizzard that blew through Kansas, and the pan handle of Texas.
I had the opportunity to have 3 different shoots while there, 2 family and one 4 month baby.
I absolutely love this small town and all of the locations there. We went downtown one evening and then a few days later over to a farm.

Mr. M is turning 9 months old

I have had the fun of capturing Mr. M when he was 3months old, 6months old, and now that he is turning 9months.  Mr. M is such a happy little guy. He was sleepy yet he was laughing and smiling the whole time. He is such a little charmer, I know he will soon be breaking hearts all around him.

January Wedding

Winter weddings are magical. I think it might be because of the distinct contrasts that is so apparent, like the warmth in the 2 hearts as they are united into one,  the light in the couples eyes as they look at each other while the sky is at it's peak of darkness, or the budding of  2 lives heading into a bright future despite the bleak season.

This was a great celebration of these 2. While they were surrounded by close friends and family they would have sweet tender moments held just for the two of them.

The reception was such a great party with fine food, dancing. They were toasted by their closest friends and family. It was so apparent that they are both cherished by so many. I know that they are going to be happy for a lifetime.
